WPXI Channel 11 App Reviews

This app is OK but its aging interface and limited content makes it unworthy of space on my phone. A competitors app is much better quality.

WTAEs weather radar is much better. I would consider switching if WPXI had a better radar/weather section as I prefer the news portion of the WPXI app.

This app is ok but needs updated. WTAE app updates stories more frequently. There is also duplication between Top stories and Local stories in the app. Id expect more from WPXI. The app should be a reflection of the show on air...not so.

Its an okay app, but who decides when to send breaking news alerts? I got an alert today about a shooting at a Colorado school. Why? This is News, not an Alert. It is an alert if its at a Pittsburgh school or the shooter is on their way to Pittsburgh...

Lots of crashes and freezes. Ads load in faster than articles. Many, many typos which makes me wonder if there is an editor on staff. News needs to be updated more frequently, especially on weekends when the same news is there for days. Much room for improvement.

What a phenomenal improvement over the last version! It is clear and easy to navigate. The articles are visually high quality and it encourages the reader to read on. So far it seems stable and quick to navigate.

Really great local news app for Pittsburgh, with good stories on national level and other type news. Im glad its updated!

In Cali for a long time to come. Love this app so I can still keep up with all things around The Burgh. The weather video cast is the best. Good work 11.

lots of freeze ups & crashes, had to reload several times, pages loads real slow !!but the ads are there instantly !?!more up to date than rival channel 4 especially on weekends just need a better programmer second hand style app could use some help as more of us get our local news from these apps !!they need to pay more attention to this form of coverage!

Works great! Love the layout

Like the layout. However, when you change orientation the scrollview does not redraw itself, so you cannot scroll in the top half.

The traffic part of this app does not work. Please fix

The school closing and delay schedule is not so accurate cause I searched my school up by name and nothing came up but when I was watching the new this morning it said I had a 2hr delay and then I went back to the app and rechecked it and it still said no results

Was watching the news 11 in the morn, also while searching for delays for my childrens district, and had no results found; However, then, the delay appeared on news 11, I was confused about the timing it took to update the new delay!?! (Just Needs a little more time adjusting)

This is a great app! Get fast notifications when something new is happening.

Newest version works better, much better than its local competitors. Much brighter and easier to navigate. Still wonder why the news apps did away with user comments on stories. That gave a lot of insight for the mindset of those around us. Wish they would re-institute that capability.

Have given this app a few weeks for a review but it is horrible. Information is slow to anything to update. If I wanted news that is a couple of days old I would buy a newspaper. The stories that are posted are like reading TMZ its all hype... Where is the true local TV news??? And wheres weather?

No local news, all cheep advertising, no news. You should be ashamed to try and call this a news app. I said good day!!!!

The new update added so many ads that its impossible to navigate the news stories without being constantly routed to some advertisers web page. I JIST WANT TO READ THE NEWS! Also, it seems that to fit all the ads on the page some of the news titles overlap on the home page. So I cant even read the headlines! Do not download!

Another update and the ads have gotten worse. And when I opened it up today it crashed immediately. I tried another 4 times with the same result. Deleting now.
