I don’t like that when an alert comes across my phone and I click the alert that I’m not taken to that story. I have to scroll through the app to find it. And sometimes it’s not worth searching the app so I don’t bother to read the article.

SEIZURE WARNING!!!! That is what needs to be listed. There is absolutely ZERO control over the video that plays in the middle of the articles. There is ZERO way to stop it or pause it. I doubt they thought about the flashing lights from emergency vehicles causing people issues. A LOT of people read the their icons Phones in dim lighted areas and the brightness of the videos flashing lights can be distracting and mind numbing. And if you’re seizure prone, don’t use this app. I get migraines and the videos playing cause me headaches. Flashing lights of emergency vehicles in the videos I can’t control make it worse. Yes, they give an option to turn off auto play on videos (what they don’t tell you is that it’s only for the video at the top of the app, not the ones they embed in the middle of the article). Great. But then they update their app. The videos that would have played in the past still don’t play. But what they don’t tell you is they added a new video section in the middle of every article that you can’t stop auto playing. I hate auto playing videos because if you’re not careful with the volume they are loud and you need to remember to mute. Also, not everyone has unlimited data. The point of their new videos in the middle of the articles are to advertise other news articles, but still. Stop forcing videos. WHY CAN’T I JUST READ THE NEWS. Stop forcing videos. There are times when people are on their phones when they can’t have volume on, so it’s pointless.

They don’t update the news. It’s the same stories for 2 days. If you don’t read an article, it stays in your feed for weeks or it randomly shows up for a month. People want breaking news not what they have been hearing about for a month.

When I try to watch the app on the live stream, sometimes it duplicates itself, and I have two stories going at the same time.

It’s to “busy” Soon as you start, busy top of page , pop ups in middle , ect

My favorite Pittsburgh network although I would like to know what happened to newscaster Catherine Amenta she was a great loss to WPXI.

This app used to be one of my favorite news apps. Recently all the notifications get linked to a video. I personally would rather have an article than a video so that I could read it instead of waiting for a video to play and having to listen to it when I’m in public or out and about or having to have an AirPod in. This is completely useless to me. Please go back to the old format, otherwise this app is no longer useful.

Why does this do endless spinning on my iPad? None of the other apps do that.

Video freezes at times and wrong pictures with the wrong story at the main page. Plus too many commercials!

This is a bug that has not been addressed for months. Even with the auto-play setting off, a push alert will trigger auto-play. This is awful, particularly in the middle of the night. Please resolve!

Ads playing when muted…

For now- 1 star. The app will open itself and play whatever videos are there (in the app). I’ve tried deleting reinstalling, force quitting apps, etc. I’m just going to delete it until the bug is fixed. It’s happening to me, coworkers, and neighbors. Either COX media group doesn’t care or they don’t know. Also, would be 2/5 stars, too many ads, way to busy (too much unneeded stuff everywhere) for a news app, and dislike that that video player always there and can’t be hidden.

Make the news simple & brief! Don’t drag the headlines on,on & on! Get to the point & move on to the next story!

App crashes constantly. Alert links don’t take you to the story. Just completely unreliable

The app just decides to randomly play videos and live feeds when not open. It is annoying, please fix!

I’m disappointed you didn’t renew Katherine Amenta’s contract. Your Morning News is not the same.

This app, even when not actively open, will play the live stream of the news randomly. This app is very slow, and whenever I click on a notification from a story, it’s impossible to find it in the app. This app needs an update as soon as possible.

I appreciate channel 11’s work but do have a couple of criticisms for this app. The first concerns the leading ads when displaying video. The default settings (at least for me) have the sound off and it sometimes is difficult to get the sound on. The answer is to start the news video with sound on and then run the ad after displaying the news content not before the story. Then we have the floating ads in the body of the text that cover over news content. Then we also have frequent examples of the link loading and no type at all displaying. So there’s my review it could be better.

Why did they not renew Katherine ammetens contract. We really enjoyed her broadcasts.

I have used this app for years. All of a sudden videos pop up randomly, constantly. If this doesn’t get fixed, the delete button is getting pushed soon. FIX IT!!!

We are Snowbirds now in Florida. Love to be able to keep in touch with things back home in Western Pa!!!

I’m not happy with the new school delays. I’m also not happy with how long it takes to update the app with news. Always the same stories especially on the weekends The other thing is this website is never updated on the weekends. Same news for 3 days. . Page is never updated

The latest version of the app has some bugs in it. Randomly the sound from a video in the app starts playing, even when the app is closed and the phone is on silent. When in the app, the video at the top plays with sound. Sometimes it is playing twice over itself with one slightly delayed. Even when I push pause and the phone is on silent, the audio is still playing.

I get bored w/national & world news as the news seems to simply repeat itself for 2 to 3 days w/only a change in headlines. It’s like there is a lack of stories that deal w/ other topics than just wars or politics. The local news tells me of what’s going on around me. There are many more human interest stories, most which deal with topics that effect me. There could be more. Thanks & God Bless you.

Auto plays news and weather even when the app is closed. Had to delete app.

This app has started playing the Live news feed 4 different times on my phone today. The app was not open and the news feed was coming from the speakers, on top of other apps that were open. I had to delete the app for it to stop. Please correct this problem.

The app would be so much better if there were a way to comment on stories. Not everyone has social media.

For those of us on the go this news coverage is just what we need. Current news is provided in an easily identifiable format. Thanks.

Trying to find a news story and get overwhelmed with the ads

I do not like the constant adds and the news playing constantly at top of screen. I really used to like the WPXI app but not the new version.👎

WPXI has always been my favorite news station. Signing up for cable was only done after getting assurance it would be included. Needless to say it came as quite a shock when we found that it was no longer included with our cable a few years ago. Now I can only get it through my phone app. Quite disappointing.

I read your news articles daily. They are well written. Keeping up on events around Pittsburg and current events in other areas of United States is my top priority. Also World Events are important to keep up with. I also enjoy hearing about my Pittsburgh Teams, Steelers, Penguins and the Pirates! Win or loose they be are my favorites! It is also nice to keep track of entertainment events around Pittsburgh.

I like the app, but it has plenty of glitches. It’s been like this for months, and it makes it very difficult to use. But other than that, it’s a pretty good app.

Videos/Audio automatically start. Can no longer start looking at the news when I am supposed to be paying attention to something or someone else. Quite embarrassing.

I use this app quite a bit. Dont like the recent change that the video feed with sound starts automatically when the app launches. Please give us an option to turn this off. Also please fix that the notification alerts go to the story for the notification.

I am so SICK of tapping a story that comes up in my notifications, only for the app to glitch and shoot me to the homepage instead. I cannot even find the story I wanted to read, because the navigation bar setup on the app is HORRIFIC. Otherwise the app is fine. PLEASE fix this. I’m begging.

This app isn’t bad I wish it was more up to date with new news. Since the last update tho I can’t get the news to not play every time I open a story to read it a broadcast starts playing and even when I hit pause or mute it continues to play sometimes even after I close the app it continues to play it’s very annoying. If I want to watch the news I’ll turn it on.

When I click on the alerts to go to The article it doesn’t take me to it. Also starts playing videos and impossible to pause them. I have to turn off the volume

The app is not intuitive for school closings- it will not find Chartiers valley school district

Every time I get a news alert of my phone I tap it. The app opens to that article, then bounces back to the main screen. News alerts from the app are uselsss in this way and have been for as long as I can remember.

You get a message regarding a story. Then you tap on it. You get lots of stories but can’t find the one you wanted to see. I’ve come close to deleting the app.

I previously enjoyed this app, however, after their most recent update I’m disappointed. Videos start playing by themselves, even when you’re not interacting with the app. As soon as my phone connected to the bluetooth in my car, randomly while I was on a phone call, etc. Also, I receive push notifications but when I try to open them, not only does it take me to another story but the article I’m looking for is nowhere to be found.

Garage new layout garbage I click on a notification and it doesn’t even take me to it and half the screen is taken up by nothing go back to the old layout thanks

I like opening an app where I control if I want to watch a video. I have had this app for years and it was so much better than the competition because I was in control. To now have your videos popping up with loud volume and no way to stop it from popping open. Goodbye WPXI. I am done.

I enjoy keeping up with local news! WPXI is always on the scan and the coverage is the best! People want the facts and your reporters are the most detailed! They cover individual counties

So much more goes on in the world than what is reported on this app
